The vision is to keep traditional food and ways of life thriving. Providing traditional teachings of Sovereignty Project hunting, gathering, and hunters’ safety. This year we are planning in detail to expland to our upper village of Queets and planning on building a community smokehouse for the community. We are planning an Expo at the Taholah School District, which will allow 20 kids – 20 at each station to learn how to clean clams, fish, game, hunter/gather safety, canning education, etc.

Skewk’Lelum Decolonizing Food Security, BC

Skewk’Lelum is a community driven and led project working to build food sovereignty by installing 30 more community garden beds to fill growing demands. We will plant decentralized food forests throughout the community and share knowledge of decolonized food systems.
